The equipment pictured was state-of-the-art in the late 1950s.
The Gibson
E.S.335 guitar could have been used by Chuck Berry or BB King, the
Gibson E.B.2. bass could have been used by the bass player with
Elvis Presley or Gene Vincent, and the blue caps the Fender
Bassman combo could have been used by the bass player for Little Richard or Jerry Lee Lewis.
The Vox A.C.30 could have been used by the bass player
for the Shadows and the Ludwig Downbeat drum kit could have been used by
the drummer for Buddy Holly or Bobby Darin.
These
are pieces of music history that have the sound and feel to carry on making
history for years to come.
